Veterans Assistance Hours Changed to April 12 Due to Good Friday Observance
– Veterans in the 11th District are invited to take advantage of veterans’ assistance hours at Rep. Brian Ellis’ (R-Butler) district office on Wednesday, April 12. Ellis’ district office is located at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200, in Lyndora
This outreach is typically held on the second Friday of the month, but the schedule has been altered this month, due to Ellis’ office being closed for the observance of Good Friday on April 14.
Larry Michaelis, department service officer with the American Legion, is available to assist veterans and their families in the 11th District. Michaelis assists veterans with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care issues and more. Veterans do not have to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services. Those interested in meeting with Michaelis must schedule an appointment in advance by calling Ellis’ district office at 724-283-5852.
